Four arrested for demanding bribe to release tractor

Bhandara News :-Four people including two forest guards of the forest department, who demanded a bribe of 25 thousand rupees to release the tractor caught while transporting illegal sand within the forest department’s limits, have been detained by the anti-bribery department team of Bhandara. Forest Guard Ganesh Mahajan Kakarwal (27), Forest Guard Manish Uttam Meshram, Forest Laborer Kesari Ramasaw Uchibagle (52) Res. Blacksmith Tumsar Thithi Forest Area Office Lendezari, Pt. Tumsar and private Isam Mazur Md. Shahabuddin Md. Dawood Ansari (19) Names of bribe takers are Ekta Nagar Vanjara Pilinadi Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg Nagpur.

It is detailed that, Res. Asalpani, h. Mr. Complainant from Sriram Nagar Tumsar owns his own tractor and carries out sand transportation business. On August 13, 2022, Forest Guards Ganesh Kakarwal and Manish Meshram caught his tractor while transporting sand illegally and demanded Rs. Among them, three thousand rupees in cash and two thousand rupees online,a total of 5 thousand rupees were accepted at the spot and out of the remaining 20 thousand rupees, the accused Vanmajun Kesli Uchibagle showed his readiness to accept 15 thousand rupees after a compromise.The complainant reported this to the Bhandara Anti-Corruption Organization Department

According to the complaint of the complainant.

On August 25, after setting up the trap operation, accused No. 1 and 2 accepted Rs. 15 thousand from the hands of accused No. 4 during the trap operation. After the compromise, out of the total amount demanded, currency notes of Rs. 5 thousand were accepted and the remaining dummy notes of Rs. 10 thousand were returned to the complainant.

As the accused accepted the bribe, a case has been registered against him at Andhalgaon Police Station, District Bhandara. This action is done in Nagpur area. Divisional Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ola, Additional Superintendent of Police Mudhkar Gite, Bhandara Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chate under the guidance of Investigating Officer Police Inspector Amit Dahare, Police Inspector Kamlesh Sontakke, Saha Faujdar Sanjay Kunjarkar, Police Naik Atul Meshram, Ankush Gadve, Mithun Chandewar, Chetan Pote, Police Constable Vivek Ranadive, Vishnu Varthi, Rajkumar Lende, Kunal Kadav all L.P.V. Bhandara did it.
