London, Sep 19 (AP) The vehicle carrying the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II begins its journey from Wellington Arch in London to Windsor Castle. The Queen’s coffin is slowly being carried in a procession to Windsor Castle for the funeral
The Queen’s coffin was brought to Wellington Arch near Buckingham Palace by 142 sailors of the Royal Navy, about a kilometer and a half from Westminster Abbey. On the way in honor of the Queen, the process of gun salute also continued.
Dozens of Buckingham Palace employees queued up in the palace courtyard to pay their last respects to Queen Elizabeth II, and as the procession passed, several employees bowed down to pay their respects to the Queen.
The Queen’s coffin is being taken by car to Windsor Castle, a 32-km drive, where she will be buried next to her husband, Prince Philip.
During the last visit to the coffin of the Queen, thousands of people have gathered on the way to bid her last farewell.
