Maharashtra Politics: 40 MLAs have gone with Eknath Shinde, 12 MPs are with Shinde, hundreds of corporators left Thackeray’s support and joined the Shinde group. Thousands of office bearers, Shiv Sainiks joined the Shinde group. Now this is less because Shiv Sena officials from outside the state are now joining Shinde’s group.
The Shiv Sena regional heads of 8 states have supported the Shinde group. The regional heads of these states in the Shinde group, the regional heads of 8 states namely Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Goa attended the meeting of the Shinde group and accepted the leadership of Eknath Shinde.
There is a debate going on before the Election Commission about who is the real Shiv Sena. The Shinde faction has claimed Shiv Sena’s election symbol of bow and arrow. In that, since the regional chiefs of 8 states have accepted Shinde’s leadership, the Shinde group has got a big boost for the court battle, but the tension of the Thackeray group has increased.
Eknath Shinde rebelled in the Supreme Court and the Mahavikas Aghadi Government led by Shivsena Chief Uddhav Thackeray collapsed. After that, Eknath Shinde was sworn in as Chief Minister and Devendra Fadanvis of BJP was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. Against this, the Shiv Sena disqualified 16 MLAs from the Shinde group and the matter went to the Supreme Court.
