Sonu Sood, while supporting the victim girls, has appealed to the people not to share those leaked videos on social media. Also amid the protests, actor Sonu Sood said that what happened is “unfortunate” and appealed to the people to behave responsibly.
According to the police, objectionable videos of more than 60 girls were recorded inside the Chandigarh University campus located on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road. These videos were also uploaded on social media platforms. After the opening of the case, the main accused in this is being told a girl. This incident has stirred up the whole country and protests are taking place. Actor Sonu Sood has spoken on this incident through social media. The actor tweeted, “What happened in Chandigarh University is very unfortunate. It is time for us to stand by our sisters and set an example of a responsible society. On this incident, the university authorities have dismissed the fact that the video was leaked. Although the main accused has confessed his crime that he had made videos of many girl students and shared them on social media. This includes her boyfriend.
Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Vivek Sheel Soni told the media that during preliminary investigation it has been found that one of the apprehended girl students had shared her video of someone from Himachal Pradesh. The role of that person in the case is also being investigated. He said that an FIR has been registered under Section 354-C of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act. Along with this, the main accused student has been arrested.
