In this role, you’ll be part of MBIG’s Delivery Centers, where we bring deep technical expertise and innovative solutions to public and private sector clients. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while learning from senior engineers and mentors.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications.
- Assist in implementing new features and functionalities.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues under the guidance of senior team members.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Learn and apply Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) in a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure applications delivered are high-performing, responsive, and maintainable.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Problem Solving & Solution Enhancement: Analyze, validate, and propose improvements with guidance from technical leads.
- End-to-End Development: Participate in all phases — design, development, testing, release, and support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders, understand requirements, and contribute innovative coding solutions.
Required Education
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s with strong skills also considered).
Required Technical & Professional Expertise
- Minimum 1 year of Java development experience (academic projects/internships accepted).
- Strong knowledge of Java SE (Java 8+) and OOP principles.
- Exposure to Java backend programming (REST, SOAP basics).
- Familiarity with at least one Java framework: Spring, Jakarta EE, or Quarkus.
- Knowledge of build tools: Maven / Gradle.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and container tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
- Exposure to RESTful web services & API design.
- Basic SQL knowledge; experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Development Tools & Practices:
- Exposure to IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or VS Code.
- Awareness of Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira, Trello.
- Willingness to learn cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Soft Skills:
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Good communication & collaboration skills.
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail.
- Team-oriented approach to problem solving.
Preferred Technical & Professional Experience
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Interest in Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
